O'Douds Pomade

For the vast majority of my life I've had long hair that required no styling products. Since cutting my hair short around 6 months ago, I've become slightly obsessed with pomade and have been on a mission to find the ideal product to tame my thick, wavy locks. I think I have finally found that product, and it comes from a craft brewer named Clayton Douds.

The fact that each jar is hand poured by a man and his wife out of their home in Texas using 100% natural ingredients, is something that is very appealing to me. There's no cosmetic labs and no middleman; just a good honest product that just so happens to be vegan-friendly... WOOHOO!

Most other pomades (particularly water-based) I've tried are loaded with chemicals which strip your hair and scalp of their natural oils. O'Douds uses castor oil, soy wax, jojoba oil and other essential oils to leave your hair hydrated and nourished.

O'Douds Water Based Pomade provides moderate shine, a medium-firm hold and a clean herb scent. This product behaves much like an oil-based pomade in the fact that it doesn't dry out, meaning you can continually restyle throughout the day. It also washes out entirely after one shampoo, which is something that simply doesn't happen with an oil-based pomade. You really get the best of both worlds.

You can buy it directly from Clayton Douds via his etsy store HERE, or if you live in Australia you can buy it from The Pomade Shop.

PS: No, I am not getting paid to write this review nor am I receiving free products. I just wanted to share my opinion on this pomade as I think it's amazing and I believe in supporting small businesses.
